Welcome to the Kaneville Township Web Site

We have provided this website as a service to our residents and to others who are interested in finding out more about our community.

Kaneville Township is located in south-western Kane County, Illinois. It is bordered to the north by Rt. 38, to the east by Lorang Road, to the south by Lasher Road and to the west by County Line Road. It is still primarily a farming community with four residential areas: the Village of Kaneville, the Kaneland Estates area, Troxel and the southern part of Saddlewood Estates. There are currently 935 parcels in Kaneville Township which is the smallest parcel count of all the townships in Kane County.

Kaneville Township is the home of Kaneland High School which serves the communities of Elburn, Kaneville, Maple Park, Sugar Grove and Virgil. Other notable businesses are Hill’s Country Store, often referred to as “the Purple Store” and Kuipers Family Farm.
